Thieves target lotto tickets at Houston-area convenience stores

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are looking for two thieves who are hoping to strike it rich with the lottery.

The two men have hit several convenience stores along the Katy Freeway in Memorial Village, Hedwig Village and Houston in recent days.

Surveillance video provided by the Memorial Village Police Department shows one of the thieves walking into the store and pulling several scratch lottery tickets from the display counter before leaving. In other incidents, police say the men have walked out with the entire lottery ticket box and cash from the register.

According to police the men have been linked to three separate incidents in Memorial Village, two in Hedwig Village and at least one in Houston.
