

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An ABC13 Weather Alert Day was in effect on Wednesday as strong-to-severe thunderstorms rolled through southeast Texas.
A Tornado Watch was issued for several parts of southeast Texas, including Harris, Fort Bend, and Galveston counties, and it was canceled before 5 p.m.
A cold front led temperatures to plummet on Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Montgomery, Grimes, Harris, Walker, and Waller Counties, which expired at 1 p.m.
This was a line of storms crossing Southeast Texas on this ABC13 Weather Alert Day.
Officials say a ground stop has been issued at Houston's Hobby Airport on Wednesday.
Thunderstorms led to departures being grounded until 1:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for much of Southeast Texas until 6 p.m., including the following counties:
Angelina, Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Hardin, Harris, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Montgomery, Nacagdoches, Newton, Orange, Polk, Sabine, San Augsitine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity, Tyler, Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton.
