Exclusive: Suspect's brother speaks on missing womanSearch continues for missing woman as her boyfriend is charged with murder.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Eyewitness News spoke to the brother of the man charged with murder for his role in the disappearance of his girlfriend.

Miguel Angel Buezo, 28, has been accused of shooting his 26-year-old girlfriend Karen Ramirez, according to court documents.

"They haven't found him and they haven't found her," said Miguel Angel Buezo's brother. "I'm thinking what everyone is thinking."

In Spanish, he said he feels it in his heart that his brother may have actually harmed Ramirez. He said his brother had a strong character and at one point he had to intervene when Buezo got physical with Ramirez.

"Of course it hurts me, he is still my brother," said the brother in Spanish.

A vehicle registered to Ramirez, who has been missing since March 24, was found around a week later in the 8000 block of Tilgham St., officials said.

Police said when they opened the car's driver-side door they found a large amount of blood on and under the driver's seat.

Police investigate disappearance of 26-year-old Karen Ramirez:

A Houston woman has been missing since March 24.

Equusearch volunteers are concentrating on searching for Ramirez's body in southeast Houston, less than two miles from where she lived with Buezo.

"I think he got rid of her quickly. There are things in the investigation that we cannot share," Tim Miller with Equusearch said.

Police said Ramirez was last heard from while she was out with Buezo at a club, where the two got into a fight and then left to an unknown location.

Police said Buezo possibly fled to Honduras on Sunday, March 26.

Buezo's brother tells Eyewitness News that he said even their mother has not heard from or seen Buezo.

"She, too, is worried about her son possibly committing a deadly crime. I'm also hurting for Karen and her sister," said the brother.

If you have any information concerning Ramirez's disappearance, please contact the Houston Police Department at (713) 308-3600 or call Texas EquuSearch at (281) 309-9500.
