Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman: New mugshot released from prison where he escaped

ALMOLOYA DE JUAREZ, Mexico (KTRK) -- Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is back behind bars and in a prison outfit again in his new mugshot.

The Mexican drug lord was recaptured after six months on the lamb after his dramatic escape from a Mexican prison.

In the new photo, Guzman has his head shaven and he's wearing a gray prison shirt.

He's back in the Altiplano Prison, the maximum-security facility he escaped from last year, but the United States if working to have him extradited on seven drug-related indictments. However, according to a Mexican judicial source, it could take more than a year to make a decision about that.
