LIONS FOR A CURE: Yates seniors raise money for breast cancer prevention

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Students at Jack Yates High School are raising awareness for Breast cancer prevention.

They're selling pink bracelets and T-shirts.

Proceeds will go toward school events, but the idea is to remind women to get regular check-ups.

"My grandmother passed away, so I just feel like it was at a very young age where I had to know and grow, and find out about those things," explained Senior Tamia Horton.
