Humble city to spend millions to improve streets

HUMBLE, TX -- The city of Humble will spend slightly more than $6 million to improve pavement throughout the city.



Members of the city council voted unanimously to allow Metro City Construction to upgrade concrete on several city streets during their regularly scheduled Tuesday night session.



The improvements are expected to cost $6,066,590 according to city documents.



The improvements will run along Main and Higgins streets said Barry Brock, director of Public Works for the city. Additional improvements will also take place on Bender Avenue from Main to First Street. Concrete and pavement improvements will also take place on Anne Avenue, Windswept Drive from Carolyn Court to McDugald Road. A small part of Charles Street will also undergo improvements.
