HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A west Houston man is in jail accused of prostituting a 4-year-old girl.

Andrew Turley, 28, was arrested Thursday by Houston Police Department Vice officers after an undercover sting that started with an advertisement on Craigslist. According to allegations read in court Thursday morning, an officer saw an ad in the "casual encounters" section titled "play with daddy's little girl."

Over the next ten days, 69 emails were exchanged. The person who posted it said he "had a young girl, younger than 10."

By Thursday, the officer and Turley set up a meeting. He was selling two hours with the little girl for $1000, according to the allegations. They met at an apartment complex where the officer discovered the girl was much younger than 10.

"Lying in the small bed was a 4-year-old girl, identified as a juvenile," said a Harris County prosecutor as Turley stood before a judge, listening, in shame. The juvenile "appeared to be groggy and under the influence of an unknown substance and in and out of sleep."

Turley was arrested. According to his Facebook page, he has a toddler son, is from the Midwest and in one photo, is wearing an Army uniform.

Two family members, including his mother, hung up the phone when asked for comment Friday night.

Turley told the judge he will hire his own lawyer. His bond on each of the two charges was set at $500,000. He is expected in court on Monday.
