HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police officers will soon be able to show off their ink while on the job.
The department will relax its policy in the next few weeks preventing officers with visible tattoos from wearing short-sleeve uniforms.
Currently, inked officers can only roll up their sleeves if they wear a nylon garment covering any visible tattoos.
Officers will still be prohibited from having tattoos visible on their hands, neck or face.
