Houston BCycle introduces student memberships, adds stations at Rice University

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston BCycle is expanding and making it easier for college students to use the bike share program.

BCycle is now offering student memberships for $25 per semester.

This semester, it added three stations at Rice University, with five additional stations planned for the coming months.

BCycle also has stations at the University of Houston - Downtown and Houston Community College. Stations are in the works at University of Houston and at Texas Southern University.

The goal is to help college students thrive in Houston without needing to own a car.
