2018 Astros FanFest opens Minute Maid Park to Houston's faithful

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Astros fans won't have to wait until Spring Training to get a fix of their favorite team.

The 2017 World Series champs are holding Astros FanFest on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018.

The event at Minute Maid Park is free to the public and will feature different activities including "run the bases" for the kids and fan forums with members of the roster.

The event will also offer fee-based experiences, including autograph sessions, a photo opportunity with the World Series trophy, a chance to shag fly balls in the outfield, a chance to swing in the batting cages, a chance to throw in the bullpen, and a tour of the clubhouse.

Folks will also be able to purchase season tickets for the 2018 season and Astros Buddies memberships.

You can claim a free voucher and sign up for the paid experiences at the Astros FanFest website here.

The Astros begin their title defense in 2018 against the Rangers on March 29, 2018. Their first home game is April 2 against the Orioles.
