Fire forces patrons to flee Galleria area hotel

HOUSTON -- A hotel fire in the Galleria forced patrons out in the cold last night.

Crews had to evacuate the Sonesta Suites Hotel at Hidalgo and Sage. Authorities say the fire started in the laundry room, but the room did not have a sprinkler system in it.

No one was hurt and investigators are not sure what triggered the fire.
