GALVESTON, TX -- The annual Harvest Moon Regatta is underway, as sailors race down the Gulf Coast 150 miles from Galveston to Port Aransas.

More than 170 boats in various classes were registered for the competition. The got underway Thursday afternoon, from the starting line just off the Galveston Pleasure Pier under beautiful weather conditions. Point Glass, crewed by the Sea Scouts and their adult leaders, served as the Mark Set Boat for the port end of the Starting Line.

The finish line is located in Port Aransas, where trophies will be awarded at a banquet and sailor's party.
