Check out these spectacular jack o'lantern displays

These aren't your average jack o'lanterns.

Almost 5,000 hand-carved jack o'lanterns were on display at RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns in Los Angeles.

About 20 artists painted and carved both individual jack o'lanterns and larger, more elaborate displays made of dozens of pumpkins. The artfully carved jack o'lanterns featured designs that included Disney characters, superheroes, dinosaurs and animals.

"I just like how unique it is. It's a celebration of art," said Arthur Romeo, an artist participating in the event. "It being a holiday focused thing, you don't get to see something like this all year."
