H-E-B shutters Meyerland store
H-E-B is relocating its Meyerland store, which has flooded twice in two years.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- H-E-B is shuttering its current Meyerland store, which has flooded twice in as many years.

Company officials say they are already in active negotiations for another location in the area, but an exact location has not yet been released.

It's not clear what will happen to the current 19,000-square-foot location that H-E-B currently occupies on S. Braeswood near Chimney Rock.

"We regret any inconvenience this closure creates for residents," said company spokesperson Cyndy Garza Roberts. "However, we remain committed to serving this community and are in active negotiations for another site in the area which we hope to announce in the very near future."
