Girl saves grandmother by performing CPR

NORTH HILLS, CA (KTRK) -- A grandmother is thanking her 11-year-old granddaughter for saving her life.

Kendall Stilwell performed CPR and called 9-1-1 when her grandmother suffered a massive heart attack in California.

Paramedics were amazed to see the child calmly handling the life or death emergency. Kendall's grandmother taught her CPR in case something happened to her grandfather.

"My Nana -- she taught me when I was little, just in case it happened to my Papa," Kendall said.

She never thought the lesson would save her own life.
