FT. BEND COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A Fort Bend county woman was the victim in a vicious attack this weekend in her own garage.

The incident happened inside the Village of Oak Lake subdivision near Sugar Land off Highway 6 in Fort Bend County. Detectives say the female victim was just returning home at about 9:30 pm Saturday.

She pulled into the garage and a man approached her on the driver's side, showing a gun, demanding she open the door.

"He's beating on the window, telling her to open the door or he's going to shoot her and at that point, in fear for her life, she unlocked the door," said Det. David Williams with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

The woman refused to get out and the gunman demanded her purse. According to investigators, as he reached for it, she resisted and that's when the man apparently hit her on the head with the gun.

The victim saw a second person at the end of the driveway and apparently witnessed the suspects run down the street where they were met by a getaway car in which at least one other person was riding.

Unfortunately the victim didn't get a good description of the suspects or the vehicle they were in.
