BOSTON, MA -- Police say a drunken passenger who tried to open an exit door on a London-to-Boston flight is being charged with interfering with a flight crew.
Massachusetts State Police say they don't believe the woman's misconduct had any link to terrorism. They identified her as 32-year-old Kamila Dolniak, a citizen of Poland.
Police say Dolniak was restrained Tuesday on British Airways Flight 213. The flight landed about 1:30 p.m., a half-hour ahead of schedule at Boston's Logan International Airport.
A clerk set bail at $1,040 for Dolniak. She had not posted bail by Tuesday evening and, as a result, was being held overnight at the state police barracks at the airport.
Dolniak is expected to be arraigned in a Boston courtroom Wednesday.
The airline released this statement:
"Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behavior. Our crew have requested that police meet the flight in Boston due to an unruly customer on board."
