HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The FBI needs help identifying a suspect linked to at least two Houston area bank robberies over the past two months.

The latest occurred Wednesday at the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located in 13000 block of FM 1960 West. Investigators believe the same man is responsible for a similar robbery September 17 at a J.P. Morgan Chase branch in the 12000 block of FM 1960 West.

In the latest heist, the man entered the bank and approached a teller while carrying a black leather portfolio folder in his hands. He pulled out and handed the teller a threatening note demanding money. Although the note stated he had a weapon, no weapon was seen during the crime.

The teller gave the robber some cash and he fled the bank on foot.

The robber was described as a white or Hispanic male, 5'10", and about 25-30 years old. He had a beard, wore a black jacket and a baseball cap with the Texans logo on the front.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000.00 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
