One dead after apartment complex shooting in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a gunman killed a man and then took off in his vehicle with a woman inside.

It happened around 8pm at an apartment complex at 10110 Forum Park Drive and Sugar Branch Drive in southwest Houston.

Houston police say someone approached a man as he was eating inside his vehicle, and an argument ensued. At one point, the man pulled a gun and shot the victim.

The gunman allegedly fled the scene in the victim's vehicle, driving off with a woman. Her identity is not known.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The motive for the shooting is unknown. Homicide detectives are investigating.
