SULPHUR, Louisiana (KTRK) -- A ten-year-old little boy is being hailed a hero after stepping in to deliver his baby brother.
"I'm just so proud of him. I don't think he understands how big this is - he saved me and his brother's life," said his mother, Ashley Moreau.
Moreau says she didn't realize she was in labor until she went to the bathroom and saw her baby's feet hanging out.
Her son, Jayden quickly ran to his grandmother's house to call 911 and when he came back his mom says he calmly asked her what he needed to do.
"I just had to pull him by his legs, not hard, gently, until he came out. I was just hoping I didn't hurt him when I was pulling him out," said Moreau.
Doctors say if Jayden hadn't stepped in, his brother would have died and his mother might have bled out during delivery.
Mom, baby, and big brother are doing fine.
