HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The 25-year-old clerk is still shaken up after police say he shot and killed a suspected robber Friday morning.
Houston police say a Family Dollar cashier fired twice at robbery suspect after he demanded money this morning at a store in northwest Houston. The suspect died from the gunshot wounds.
Houston police have not said whether the suspect -- who was masked during the incident -- was armed. He died at the scene. His age is unknown at this time.

According to his family, the clerk had been robbed before and always brought a gun to work.
His family also commented that he wasn't even supposed to be working Friday; he was covering for another coworker.
Police are reviewing surveillance video and this case will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury.
