Fallen Houston firefighter to be laid to rest today

HOUSTON -- A Houston firefighter killed in the line of duty will be buried during a private service today at the Houston National Cemetery.

A public memorial was held on Saturday for Daniel Groover.

Groover collapsed last Wednesday while fighting a fire in Kingwood. The 46-year-old later died from his injuries.

Groover was a 21-year veteran with the Houston Fire Department. He leaves behind a wife and three adult children.
