HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman with extravagant taste is accused of stealing a rare and extremely expensive dress right out of The Galleria.
Police say stores in The Galleria mall hate to see this woman coming...that's because 36-year-old Tashuana Green is accused of being a high fashion thief, and police say she's been at it for a long time.
abc13 found several mug shots of Green, and for each she's donning a different look.
Investigators say Green stole $2,000 worth of belts and purses from Ferragamo. Court documents show Green and some friends hit Chanel too, getting away with more than $8,000 in handbags.
Her latest high-dollar heist allegedly happened at Louis Vuitton. Police say Green stole a $9,400 dress. Only two of its kind were made in the U.S.
Workers didn't even know the dress was gone until weeks later during inventory. They rolled the cameras back and identified Green.
Police say workers also found Green's Instagram page and there she was styling and profiling in her fabulous, but stolen dress.
"They're being influenced and they just want to be seen and they want to fit in," local fashion expert Megan Harper said.
Harper says more and more women are becoming desperate to become divas.
"I worked at Michael Kors and girls would literally steal bags inside of their bags," Harper said.
Harper says people are also stealing the expensive pieces to resale online. But now stores are cracking down with police and eventually, the sticky hands will end in handcuffs.
