Teacher accused of calling boy 'evil' because he is left-handed

OKEMAH, OK (KTRK) -- In Oklahoma, a mother is planning to file a formal complaint with the state department of education, after she says a teacher deemed her 4-year-old son evil because he writes with his left hand.

The mother says the teacher encouraged her son to write with his right hand in class and sent her a note with an article calling left-handedness "unlucky," "evil" and says "for example the devil is often portrayed as left-handed."

The mother says the school is currently investigating the situation.
