Teacher on leave after threatening message
A teacher is on leave after leaving a message apparently threatening his students.

COMMERCE CITY, Colorado (KTRK) -- A Colorado teacher is in hot water after a classroom photo of a message apparently threatening his students went viral.

Kris Burghart, whom parents identify as the teacher, is accused of writing the message, "Silent reading... I want to kill children but I am a loving Christian man who would never hurt a flee (sic) so please sit down and read" to his eighth-grade class.

The district says Burghart has been placed on leave.

Burghart has not commented on the incident.
