Sharpstown HS principal cleared to return to campus
HISD conducted an investigation after accusations were raised against the principal

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- There's nothing to substantiate allegations that an HISD principal hit four students, according to a district statement released Monday.

Sharpstown High School Principal Robert Gasparaello was removed from campus Monday of last week after the allegations from students surfaced. Now that a district investigation is complete, Gasparaello is cleared to return to the school.

One of the students had said Gasparaello struck him in the head eight times over bad grades. Another student said the principal struck him in the neck because his pants were drooping. Two others said they had been accused of being in a gang and were kicked out of school.

Here is the full statement from HISD following the investigation. "HISD Police has concluded its investigation into allegations related to Sharpstown High School Principal Rob Gasparello. No evidence was found to substantiate any of the criminal allegations, and the principal has been cleared to return to campus."
