Driver ejected from pickup truck in north Harris County crash

HOUSTON -- A pickup truck driver crashed and was thrown from the vehicle early Saturday morning in north Harris County.

It happened on the North Freeway access road near Cypresswood.

Officials say, the truck hit a concrete wall and then hit a guardrail before it flipped over. The driver was thrown from the truck and landed in a ditch.

His two passengers inside the vehicle were not hurt.

The driver was airlifted to Hermann Hospital and is expected to survive.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says before the crash, the three people in the vehicle were at nightclub and alcohol played a role in this accident.
