Houston man killed during fishing trip in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KTRK) -- A Houston man was killed Saturday during a fishing trip in Corpus Christi.

Three people were onboard when the boat capsized near Packery Channel.

Officers received a distress call and found two teens hanging on to an oil rig. A man, who is believed to be their uncle, was found face down in the water.

He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.

The teens told police that their boat got away from them and their uncle wasn't a good swimmer.
