Remarkably, Corpus Christi suffered relatively minor damage during Hurricane Harvey's Category 4 landfall.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KTRK) -- Despite the fact that a Category 4 hurricane made landfall not far away, Corpus Christi escaped with relatively minor damage.

As dawn broke, witnesses in the city reported seeing mainly downed trees, buildings with siding ripped off, mangled street signs and broken windows.

Although some streets are littered with nails and shattered glass, traffic was moving through the city again by Saturday morning.
