HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This morning at Memorial City Mall, fans of exotic rides and high-end sports cars have a chance to check out some hot rods and help some very deserving children in need.
The monthly "Coffee and Cars" event is underway in west Houston right now, where organizers are collecting new Halloween items for children battling cancer in the Texas Medical Center.
Organizers are partnering with Mueller's Monster Mash to put a smile on the faces of these brave children.
If you'd like to donate, bring brand-new masks, costumes, capes, swords and other Halloween accessories for ages 5 to 18 to Memorial City Mall.
"We bring Halloween to them everywhere, and it is a huge, awesome fun party, because every kid deserves to have Halloween," Amy Mueller said.
Mueller stressed because of the suppressed immune systems of the children involved, items must be brand-new to reduce any risk of sickness from used items.
One of those car enthusiasts showing off their vehicle is Dennis Urech, whose DeLorean features a bounty of "Back to the Future" memorabilia inside.
Urech's vehicle pulled a lot of attention at this morning's event, but so did the two rows of Lamborghinis on display by Lamborghini Houston and the Lamborghini Festival.
