HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Cy-Springs High School softball coach is facing a felony charge amid accusations she had a relationship with one of her students.

Lyndsy Maus is charged with improper relationship with a student. According to her charging document, a student notified the school principal of a social media post discussing the alleged relationship.

Maus initially denied the accusations, but after authorities confronted her with photos and text messages, she allegedly admitted to the relationship.

According to the document, the student told authorities that she had sex with the coach only after she transferred to another school. She also claimed that her family was aware of the situation and supported their relationship.

However, none of that matters in the eyes of the law. It is all still illegal.

Maus' bail has been set at $10,000.
