Clute PD investigating claims of man pretending to be a police officer

BRAZORIA COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A new warning for residents in Brazoria County and the city of Clute. The Clute Police Department is investigating reports of a person impersonating a police officer.

Clute police say the suspect is a white male driving a newer model, black Dodge Charger. He was seen wearing a dark blue uniform with the name plate D. Pereault.

If a vehicle matching this description tries to stop you, authorities suggest to pull into a safe place and call police.
