Clay Road open after flooding
Good news for drivers: Clay Road is finally open after the Tax Day flooding. Katherine Whaley has the latest

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Clay Road is now open through the Addicks Reservoir, between Highway 6 and Brittmoore, after weeks of flooding following the Tax Day rains. Additionally, Westheimer Parkway is now open to traffic through the Barker Reservoir, between Fry Road and FM 1093. The roads reopened on Tuesday.

TxDOT officials are continuing to monitor Highway 6, which remains closed, blocking access to I-10. The water is rapidly receding, but road crews will still need to clean, inspect, and repair the road, if necessary once the flood waters clear.
