Child dies after being run over by repair van in NW Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 3-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a repair van driver while riding his bike in Acres Homes.

Houston police responded to the 5000 block of W. Gulf Bank around 6:20 p.m. on Monday night.

When they arrived, they found the body of a boy at the Streamside Place apartments.

Investigators said the driver did stay at the scene and spoke with officers.
