Netflix hiring someone to watch movies, TV all day

If you'd rather stay home from work and watch TV all day, we've got an even better idea.

Netflix is hiring for the ultimate dream job. They want their new employee to watch movies and TV shows all day and tag them to know when to suggest them to paying customers, as first reported by TechRadar.

The role, known as a tagger, will watch a movie or TV show then choose from 1000 words that best describe the program.

The company currently employs about 40 taggers, but that number will rise after the job was posted in the UK and Ireland.

If you want to be the lucky one, you need to reside somewhere in the UK or Ireland, have an Internet connection, and be a film fanatic.

Netflix's VP of product innovation told TechRadar what kind of candidates the company is searching for.

"I do consider myself to be a film geek and I am into a lot of the content on Netflix and that's what we want. What we are looking for is someone who is a real expert on movies on TV shows," Todd Yellin said.
