JCPenney hiring 2,500 associates in Houston area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- JCPenney is doubling its staff in Houston by hiring nearly 2,500 associates throughout the area.

The positions are full-time and part-time customer service and support positions, including cashier, replenishment specialist, SEPHORA inside JCPenney beauty consultant, salon stylist and more.

The company says the positions offer an associate discount up to 25 percent, flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement.

Those interested are encouraged to visit Houston-area JCPenney locations on Sept. 21 from 2-8 p.m., and Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., where management will be holding in-person interviews and hiring candidates on-the-spot.

JCPenney says candidates are encouraged to bring supporting documents such as a social security card or passport to expedite hiring.
