Car burglary suspects elude police after chase

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two suspected car thieves are still on the loose after leading police on a chase in northwest Houston.

Police say two people stole a car from an apartment complex on Jones Road and Steeple. OnStar began tracking the car's location and notified police. Police spotted it on Antoine and started chasing it.

The men pulled over at an apartment complex right next to the one where they stole the car from and they took off on foot.

"We used canine and a helicopter and unfortunately we were unable to locate the two suspects at this time," said Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department.

Police used dogs and a chopper but couldn't find the suspects.
