HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A mistrial has been declared in the case of a bus driver accused of sexually assaulting a child on his Houston ISD bus.
The jury hearing the case could not reach a verdict Wednesday and returned today in hopes of coming to a decision. They have sent several notes indicating they were "deadlocked."

Jonathan Palmares is accused of touching two girls in a sexual manner on his school bus.
During the trial, the jury saw video from inside the bus that prosecutors say show Palamres getting uncomfortably close to children.
One of the girls at the center of the case even testified that Palmares would sit next to her and try to kiss her. She says he did that on many occasions.
