HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Burglars hit a bar on Washington Avenue Tuesday morning and got away with donations meant for veterans.
It happened at around 6:45am at Little J's Bar. The owner tells us four masked men smashed through glass doors, and it appears they knew what they were after -- the bar's safe.
Inside was money, not just from the bar, but also donations meant to go to the Armed Forces and veterans.
The owner is on the Armed Forces Appreciation Committee for the Houston Rodeo and his business takes collections.
The owner tells us other nearby businesses have been hit by burglars recently as well.
