Body found lying in the middle of the road in NE Houston
Bystanders expressed concern that children may see the body

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A body was discovered on the road in northeast Harris County Thursday morning. Harris County Sheriff's Office detectives began their investigation just before 6am.

Detectives took picture, placed evidence markers and questioned anyone near the scene.

"It's really sad just have no words," said resident Jose Rodriguez.

This is what residents of the East Aldine District woke up to Thursday morning. A shocking sight for those who have never seen anything like it.

"That's somebody's baby over there, regardless of what it is, nobody deserves to be there like that," said resident Joe Canales.

Detectives said they don't know yet how the victim got here.

Parents in this northeast community have been shielding their children so they won't see the body as detectives continue do their job.

"I got three of my own. If they were to see something like this I don't want them to see or remember it," said Nick Adame, resident.
