BELLAIRE, TX (KTRK) -- The man accused of a killing a Bellaire pizza shop employee is now behind bars thanks to a tip from his sister.

Kiara Elijahjaun Taylor is charged with murder after his sister, Tarrell Taylor, recognized him on surveillance video. Her reason for contacting police? It was the right thing to do.

Tarrell Taylor told Eyewitness News, "I was on my phone, looking up things and it finally came up and the news was on at the same time and that's how I kind I of assumed that's him."

Tarrell Taylor said she called police about the Reginelli's Pizza shop murder after seeing the surveillance video and recognizing the suspect as her brother. But she called her brother before notifying police.

TarrellT aylor said, "He didn't admit it, but I told him, 'I know that it is you, so you just admit it'."

Tarrell Taylor says at first her 26-year-old brother denied having anything to do with the killing but eventually confessed.

Taylor said, "He was still like, he didn't do it and finally he said he did it."

Eyewitness News asked, "Finally he said yes?"

Taylor replied, "Yes."

Kiara Elijahjaun Taylor is charged with the murder of 19-year-old Peter Mielke.

Tarrell Taylor says she bought the alleged murder weapon for her brother, but had no idea he would use it in a crime.

Tarrell Taylor recalled, "He didn't say for what, and I didn't ask him for what, I just, you know, I don't know."

There was a $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case, but Taylor says that was not her motivation for calling police.
