WILMINGTON, NC (KTRK) -- A young boy in North Carolina could be the next big name in basketball, and he's only 4 years old.

Josiah Brown is a force to be reakoned with at his local YMCA. His parents say they think he was born to play basketball.

"In all honesty he was from the time he started walking we had a Little Tykes goal in the house and he just took to it," said Josiah's father Demetrius Brown. "Pretty much all the fundamentals that most kids in the teens are working on, he's working on right now at 4 years old.

Josiah's ballhandling skills are impressive. He can dribble with his right or left hand. He has a spin move. Josiah can go behind the back. He can even use the crossover dribble against players twice his height. Ther's one thing he can't do, at least not yet.

"I can't dunk," Josiah says.

Josiah just got back from the Muggsy Bogues Fundamentals Basketball Camp in Charlotte where his team won the camp championship. Josiah won the free throw shooting competition for 6 to 9 year olds, even though he's only 4.

"What's funny is you get a lot of people who ask me, What AAU team does he play for? I'm like he just graduated pre-school" said Demetrius.

Josiah is now working his way up to using a 10-foot goal. He's already got the shooters touch, making most shots he takes.
