Man arrested after reportedly punching deputy in face

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities say one person is in custody after a Harris County Precinct 4 deputy was punched in the face at a bar.

The deputy was working security at Rick's Den on Houston's north side Saturday night when he responded to a disturbance outside.

According to the deputy, he tried to stop an altercation, but instead a man punched him in the face.

The man was taken into custody.
