Authorities say the school bus was involved in the accident with a car at Old Freehold Road and Imperato Court.
The school bus was carrying 7th and 8th grade students from the Toms River Intermediate School.
Police have confirmed none of the injuries are life threatening. Two of the injured were students on the bus and the other three injured were in the car.
The road has been reopened since the accident.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
