Houstonians donate blood as part of nationwide Muslims For Life blood drive effort

Houstonians are donating blood to save lives as part of a nationwide effort.

Donation trucks were set up across town for the third annual Muslims For Life blood drive.

Organizers say the interfaith effort honors of the victims of September 11 and the Boston Marathon bombing.

Muslims For Life blood drives are being held across the country for two months. The goal is to collect 12,000 pints of blood.
