A teen has been arrested after he reportedly threatened violence at a sporting goods store in Rosenberg.

Just before 8:30am Monday, officers were called to the Academy in Rosenberg. Police say after a 14-year-old male suspected of shoplifting was confronted by store employees, the suspect then grabbed a package containing a knife and used the knife to confront the employees.

The teen was running out of the store as officers arrived, and he then reportedly confronted an officer as well. The suspect was ordered to drop the knife, so he threw the knife at the officer.
