A former Harris County Precinct 6 reserve deputy constable could spend anywhere from 10 years to life behind bars for allegedly helping traffic cocaine.

Tomas Roque, 26, was arrested Wednesday morning. He's accused of taking a payoff to provide some kind of protection service in the delivery of cocaine to the Houston area back in December. He's charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

Roque was immediately terminated after serving for two and a half years, according to Precinct 6.

His indictment was the result of an operation by the Public Corruption Task Force.
