Settlement reached in Houston Rodeo roller coaster death lawsuit

HOUSTON

Brian Greenhouse was riding the Hi Miler roller coaster last year when he fell out, hit the ground and died. An autopsy determined Greenhouse was intoxicated, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission found no substantial hazards associated with the roller coaster. His family sued the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the carnival ride company for negligence.

On Friday, a judge signed off on the $2.7 million settlement agreement between the rodeo and Ray Cammack Shows. Most of that money going to Greenhouse's 7-year-old son.
