The Southern Apache Museum celebrated its grand opening in the Northwest Mall on Saturday with a traditional blessing.
The museum was created to preserve and promote all Native American traditions.
The curator hopes to one day offer classes on traditional languages and culture.
She says 50,000 Native Americans call Houston home.
