Prosecutors say a Houston man who led a ring that supplied more than 300,000 Ecstasy pills to undercover agents has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

A federal judge in Houston on Wednesday sentenced 52-year-old Long Vo.

Vo last May pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute Ecstasy in a case going back to 2008. He was indicted in 2010.

Prosecutors say Vo's drug smuggling operations had ties to Vietnam and Canada. Further details on the international investigation were not immediately available.
